KaiZen FITNESS is dedicated to providing life-changing fitness that creates limitless transformations in people’s lives. We holistically serve each client in mind, body, spirit, heart and soul. We do this by fusing modern exercise science & ancestral wisdom, creating customized coaching & personalized programs for all, so that they may live a more healthy, purpose-filled, quality of life. KaiZen FITNESS is looking to become an omnipresent authority for all things health & fitness in Hawai`i, and to work collaboratively with worksites, schools, and communities.
Meet Our Internship Mentor: Jedd Ramos
Jedd Ramos is Hawaiʻi’s Holistic Fitness Specialist and Owner of Kaizen FITNESS, LLC. He is a certified, educated and highly experienced fitness professional. With over 15 years of real-world, practical expertise in the fitness industry, Jedd is a passionate advocate for maximizing human potential. He does this by creating personalized fitness programs that are designed to engage, motivate, and inspire positive change. Being a coach to many clients from 4-100 years old, athletes to seniors, and everyone in-between, Jedd’s passion and purpose in life is to share his knowledge, skills, abilities, gifts and talents, which adds value to people’s lives, so that they may maximize their potential, impacting one life at a time.
Internship duties and responsibilities
- Assist with client assessments
- Assist in leading group sessions
- Assist in managing social media content
- Research the latest in exercise science
- Assist in coordinating wellness workshops
- Assist in developing personalized fitness programs
- Learn how to track client progress
- Assist in organizing community fitness events
- Assist in creating educational materials
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
Interns should be able to:
- Provide own means of transportation
- Be able to teach what is learned
- Speaking in front of groups
- Performing tasks in real world settings
- Communicate clearly and consistently
- Use one’s creativity and imagination
- Use critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Be able to lift 25-50 lbs
- Perform all other duties as assigned
2026 Internship Schedule:
This internship will occur over the following dates:
- 2026 Spring Semester: General &/or Fall Break
- M: 4:00 – 5:00 PM (Virtual)
- T: 3:00 – 5:00 PM (Virtual)
- W: 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM (Virtual)
- Th: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Virtual)
- F: 2:00 – 4:00 PM (Virtual & In-Person)
- Sa: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Virtual & In-Person)
- S: OFF
- Locations for In-Person hours will vary from the west side of Oʻahu (Kapolei, Ewa Beach, Waipahu, etc.) the east side (e.g. Honolulu, Kailua, Kaneohe, etc.), and everywhere in between (e.g. Pearl City, Aiea, etc.)
- Not all in-person hours are listed and vary from day-to-day, week-to-week, but have flexibility to schedule hours directly with the mentor, clients, and other professionals
- Internship wrap-up (Virtual): TBD
*Schedules are tentative and are subject to change. Interns will be required to work 48 hours in Spring 2026.
Internship Meeting Locations: Virtual, but in-person meeting sites are also available and may vary throughout the island of Oʻahu
