About
Ka Pilina No’eau (KPN) is a 3-year research project to develop, implement, and replicate the Math and Science Learning Model (MSL Model) to enhance math and science educational services and ultimately improve the math and science outcomes of Native Hawaiian children and youth.The MSL Model is an out-of-school program that incorporates Native Hawaiian and local cultural context and values in conducting STEM activities to bring meaning and relevancy to K-8thgrade students’ STEM learning experience. Parents are also invited to be involved in their child’s STEM development via hands on workshops to build math skills and understand about diverse learners.
