Long Term Care Nurse Aide (CNA)

  • Length of Program: 8 weeks
  • Nurse Aides work primarily in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and home health agencies. Nurses Aides provide basic care such as bathing, feeding, toileting, turning and moving patients in bed, walking with various amounts of assistance, and transferring patients to a wheelchair or stretcher. They do simple procedures that include taking temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure and measuring intake and output.

Medical Assistant

  • Length of Program: 1 year
  • Medical Assistants help physicians in private medical offices, clinics, and hospital outpatient clinics. They assist with patient care and perform routine office laboratory and diagnostic tests (clinical medical assisting), as well as business procedures (administrative medical assisting). Duties often overlap with those performed by medical secretaries, physician assistants, and nurses.

Dental Assistant

  • Length of Program: 4 months
  • Dental Assistants work with dentists during examination and treatment of patients. They prepare patients for various procedures, pass and retrieve instruments and materials, operate the high-volume evacuation system, and implement OSHA-recommended infection control procedures. In addition, dental assistants take impressions for study models; fabricate individualized trays; take, process, and mount dental radiographs; and prepare impression and restorative materials. Dental assistants are often responsible for providing follow- up oral health care information to the patients.

Pharmacy Technician

  • Length of Program: 4 months
  • Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists in serving patients (receiving, processing, and filling prescriptions and medication orders; determine charges and obtain reimbursement, including insurance and Medicare payments), maintaining medication and inventory control systems, and participating in the administration and management of the pharmacy practice.

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist

  • Length of Program: 3 months
  • Medical Billers/Coders have skills and competencies in the areas of: medical billing and compliance, coding procedures and diagnoses for all body systems, evaluation and management service principles and applications. They have skills and knowledge to correctly and efficiently code clinical procedures and diagnoses for reimbursement for third-party payers.
