Leeward Community Learning Centers (CLCs)

  • This project is designed for all children (“all” meaning all) to have opportunities for safe, healthy activities outside school hours, involving the community, to improve their literacy and other academic skills, for recreation, cultural growth, health, and enjoyment.
  • 2,000 students were eligible for free or reduced-cost lunch.
  • All six middle schools of this rural district provide the main sites, incorporating six high schools and 14 elementary schools as additional sites.
