Featuring Elizabeth Zamudio and Mildred Gains
Elizabeth Zamudio is a senior education professional with more than two decades of experience in the non-profit sector. As the Vice President of Program Development at PIQE, Elizabeth is responsible for monitoring the overall quality of PIQE’s programs at each of the 8 regional offices in California. She leads a team of PIQE Professional Development Trainers and Curriculum Writers. Prior to joining PIQE, Elizabeth served as the Vice President of Programs at Fulfillment Fund overseeing all programmatic activity, including the delivery of Fulfillment Fund’s college access curriculum, college counseling, college success efforts, scholarships, and alumni programming. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University.
Mildred Gains is an expert advisor with over 30 years of education and business coaching experience. In 2001, she joined the PIQE team and currently serves as PIQE’s Best Practice Director. She is responsible for ensuring that school districts outside of California are trained in PIQE’s best practices to successfully implement and sustain family engagement programming. Mildred has also served as one of PIQE Executive Directors, where she was responsible for planning and leading the organization’s operations and programs in several regional offices. Prior to joining PIQE, Mildred worked as a financial planner preparing comprehensive financial plans for union members and their families, with respect to college tuition, retirement, and investments.
