Hawaii Community Action Network
The free Parent Leadership Institute gives the skills needed to successfully create change, which includes 20 weekly sessions, an all-day retreat, meals and childcare (all free). The PLTI is open to parents, caregivers and anyone who cares about the well-being of children to create effective advocates for children and a change agent for your community.
INPEACE Ho'oulu Waiwai - Financial Literacy
Ho’oulu Waiwai aims to build economic stability for families by strengthening their personal finances to help them achieve their financial goals through education and individual coaching. INPEACE also offers programs for families with keiki from birth to preschool with a focus on supporting Native Hawaiian community members.
Hawaiian Community Assets - Housing and Financial Counseling
The HCA’s Community Services Specialists are certified to provide free individualized counseling to assist individuals and families create a financial action plan to build savings, pay down debt and improve credit with the goal of securing and sustaining permanent affordable housing. They also provide Hawaii Tenant Referral Services to individuals and families enrolled in its housing and financial education programs.
Leadership in Disabilities & Achievement of Hawaii
The Leadership in Disabilities & Achievement (LDAH) provides a Parent Training Training and Information Center for Hawai’i and the Pacific Islands. LDAH works with partner organizations and local communities to provide information and referral, mentoring and advocacy, and education and training to parents and families members of children with disabilities and the professionals who service them. Resources include information for educational testing, SPED tutoring, specialized resources and transitions.
INPEACE
The Institute for Native Pacific Education and Culture
The empowerment of individuals, families, and communities – through programs driven by Native Hawaiian values – is at the heart of the work they do at the Institute for Native Pacific Education and Culture. INPEACE offers FREE and relevant educational programs to individuals and families residing in West O’ahu, Kaua’i, Moloka’i, and East Hawai’i Island.
