About Camp Mānoa

Camp Mānoa is a transformative five-day, four-night experience that empowers current and transitioning college students to develop the skills they need to take charge of their educations, careers, and lives. This intensive Self Determination training camp offers participants* focused time and guidance to learn and practice the knowledge and tools they will need to navigate their journeys with confidence and independence.

Through interactive workshops and mentorship, students will develop essential skills for personal and academic success. As a final project, each participant will present a self-determined vision for the upcoming academic year and their plans to realize it.

Students will stay overnight in dormitories at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, eat in campus cafeterias, and participate in various on-campus workshops and culture-focused activities.

*This training is designed to support students in Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) programs, but others are welcomed including pre-service teachers. Please inquire for more information.
